Radial Engineering J48 Stereo – Most battery-powered instruments and stereo keyboards can produce up to 7 Volts at maximum volume, easily overloading typical active direct boxes that can handle only about 3 Volts.

The Radial Engineering J48 Stereo, however, uses a unique switching power supply that raises the internal rail voltage to handle up to an impressive 9 Volts. This results in better signal handling and greater headroom.

The increased headroom significantly reduces all types of distortion, allowing the natural tone and character of the instrument to shine through. Additionally, the Radial Engineering J48 Stereo maintains stereo separation between the left and right channels, making it suitable for use with two separate instruments or stereo sources like keyboards.
