PMC6 Active Nearfield Monitor

The PMC6 is a highly advanced studio monitor designed for smaller control rooms or integration into larger immersive audio systems. Delivering the same sonic signature as PMC’s larger models, it offers exceptional resolution for confident critical mixing. Its bespoke 6-inch bass driver, with 20mm excursion, works alongside ATL™ bass-loading and Laminair™ airflow technologies to outperform typical 8-inch monitors, delivering extended bass, high headroom, dynamic range, and low distortion.

A precision 1-inch soft-dome tweeter with a shallow waveguide ensures wide, consistent dispersion and accurate imaging. Both drivers are powered by dedicated 200W Class-D amplifiers, providing ultra-low distortion and high damping.

The PMC6’s sophisticated DSP engine automatically optimises crossover settings for both portrait and landscape orientations, maintaining tonal balance, phase alignment, and imaging accuracy. Calibration can be managed via rear-panel controls or PMC’s browser-based SoundAlign™ software.

For extended low-frequency response, the PMC6 can be paired with the PMC8 SUB, creating an XBD system with clean bass extension down to 25Hz. Activating the XBD DSP mode ensures seamless integration between the monitor and subwoofer.
