Neve 1073LB Microphone Preamplifier

Exclusive Marinair® transformers are used in the microphone input, line input, and line output stages of the Neve 1073LB Microphone Preamplifier to produce the classic Neve 1073® sound.

Packing the iconic Neve 1073® into a 500 series module was no small feat! The Neve 1073 class-A circuit design is faithfully preserved in the Neve 1073LB.

The classic 5dB stepped Elma switch ensures accurate gain staging throughout the 1073’s high output gain range. This unique design eliminates the need for a mic/line switch; the pot itself selects the correct preamp and input.

Three distinct gain stages, provided by two independent transistor-based preamplifiers, offer gain for any line input or microphone signal.

The Neve 1073LB combines multiple gain stages, allowing the preamp to deliver up to 80dB of microphone gain, enhancing the musical drive and harmonic saturation that the Neve 1073® is renowned for.

The 180-degree phase invert feature is particularly useful in multi-microphone setups with multiple preamps, making it ideal for top and bottom snare micing.

The Neve 1073LB can be easily integrated into your studio via the rear inputs, with the front input ready for quick recording.

With impedance settings of 1.2kΩ and 300Ω, the 1073LB can be optimised for use with a wide range of modern and vintage microphones.
