Dynaudio Core 59 Studio Monitor brings the pinnacle of precision, consistency and reliability to your studio. This is what performance sounds like.

Dynaudio Core 59 Studio Monitor

When working with art, whether it’s your own or someone else’s, you need reliable equipment. As a professional producer or engineer, your ears are your most valuable tools. You know what sounds good and understand that a top-notch reference monitor can elevate a performance.

Enter the Dynaudio Core 59, the flagship of our high-end professional reference monitor series. This three-way speaker boasts uncompromising class-D amplification, advanced digital signal processing, a robust 32mm-thick baffle, and a flat bass response down to 36Hz at -6dB.

Designed for serious audio professionals, the Dynaudio Core 59 is ideal for recording engineers, mixers, producers, and editors working in demanding environments. It addresses many common monitoring issues, helping you avoid listener fatigue with its Esotar Pro tweeter, engineered to keep fatigue at bay.

Our renowned soft-dome tweeters deliver hours of precise imaging and detail without the typical tiring effect. The Esotar Pro improves this with the Hexis device, an inner dome that optimises airflow, smooths frequency response, and eliminates unwanted resonances, resulting in outstanding imaging and high-frequency response.

The 5-inch midrange driver provides exceptional detail. Made from our proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) material and paired with an aluminium voice-coil, it offers fast response and authoritative control.

With crossover points at 385Hz and 5kHz, the Dynaudio Core 59 ensures that a significant portion of the critical vocal range is handled by one driver, giving you confidence in your mix decisions on vocal balances and dialogue subtleties.

The bass driver, developed through extensive research into subwoofer technology, features an improved copper voice-coil, glass-fibre former, ceramic magnets, and a 500W class-D Pascal amplifier. This gives the 9-inch long-excursion woofer exceptional control and deep frequency response.

Each driver is handmade in our Danish factory, ensuring consistent performance across multiple studios. You can replace a driver yourself and calibrate it within 0.2dB or have it professionally calibrated.

Our AIR series revolutionised studio monitoring with flexible speaker positioning, a feature carried over to the Core 59. The rotating Orbit baffle allows for left, right, or centre-channel orientation, and you can position the woofer above the tweeter/midrange assembly for optimal placement in various setups.

Dynaudio Core 59 also features indentations on all four sides for stability and finish protection, and it’s compatible with standard VESA and custom K&M brackets for wall or ceiling mounting in multichannel systems like Dolby ATMOS.

Our advanced DSP system, refined from the AIR series, offers user-friendly yet sophisticated controls. Core 59 includes DSP filter switches to address position and boundary locations, with settings for desk and soffit placement to compensate for reflections.

You can also adjust the overall presentation with the Sound Balance filter, tilting the frequency response for a darker or brighter tone while maintaining phase response. Subtle adjustments can make a significant difference in sound balance.

Dynaudio Core 59’s noise floor and signal resolution are critical. It offers a range of 0dBu to +24dBu to match analogue input sensitivity, processing signals at 192kHz and 64-bit resolution in the DSP. You can set the maximum output SPL to 112dB or lower for optimal bit-depth.

For AES digital inputs, you can choose the left or right channel of the AES stream. Dynaudio Core 59’s DSP locks to the digital audio clock or word clock for accurate signal processing.

Designed for versatile use, Dynaudio Core 59 is suitable for near-field, mid-field, or main monitoring, as well as soffit-mounted setups. It’s perfect for music mastering, mixing, recording, theatrical re-mixing, game sound design, and more.

With both analogue and digital connectivity, DSP-controlled acoustic response, and versatile positioning, Dynaudio Core 59 ensures complete tonal consistency, meeting all your critical monitoring needs. It provides everything you need to hear.

Features

  • Hand-crafted Designed, developed, tested and made in Denmark. All the drivers are hand-made at Dynaudio HQ, and each speaker is individually calibrated before it leaves our factory
  • Advanced DSP Simple to use… but incredibly powerful. Core’s DSP optimises performance for positioning, sound balance and bass extension
  • Power to spare Each driver has its own dedicated class-D amplifier: 500W each for the woofer and midrange drivers, and a 150W amp for the tweeter. That’s some serious headroom
  • Esotar Pro tweeter Dynaudio’s already legendary high-frequency driver has been redesigned and re-engineered for high-performance professional use
