With integrated Digital Signal Processing (DSP), it includes configurations tailored for smaller loudspeakers from the E-Series, xS-Series, xC-Series, and T-Series, along with equalisation and delay functions. Additionally, a linear setup mode allows the 5D to function as a standard linear installation amplifier.

Featuring a dynamic range of 111 dB (Dante input, unweighted), the d&b Audiotechnik 5D Amplifier is designed to drive a specific selection of d&b loudspeakers, providing robust management and protection capabilities throughout.

DSP Processing
Advanced signal processing enhances the onboard functionality with a variety of loudspeaker-specific filter options and a user-definable 8-band EQ for precise system tuning. The delay capability reaches up to 300 ms, and the DSP unit operates with a fixed latency of 1.1 ms.

Input Routing
The amplifier supports up to eight input channels, offering four analogue inputs on Euroblock connectors, which also function as link outputs, as well as four Dante channels. Each input channel can be routed to any output channel as needed.

A wide-range switch-mode power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC) ensures clean current draw and stable, efficient performance, even under challenging mains conditions.

GPI and General Fault
Four GPI pins provide additional digital control lines, along with a FAULT contact for remote indication of any general device error.

Remote Control and System Integration
The d&b Audiotechnik 5D amplifier integrates seamlessly with d&b ArrayCalc Simulation software and R1 Remote control software for comprehensive system control. It includes two Ethernet ports (1 Gbit/100 Mbit) on RJ45 connectors, supporting Dante audio streaming and the OCA/AES70 protocol for full networked control.
