The d&b Audiotechnik 16C is a compact 2-way passive column loudspeaker, the smallest in its series, featuring four 4” neodymium drivers and a 0.75” compression driver on a CD horn.
d&b Audiotechnik 16C Column Loudspaker
The HF horn in the d&b Audiotechnik 16C provides a nominal dispersion of 90° x 40° (h x v). The 4″ drivers are arranged in a unique cardioid configuration, with waveguide elements at the front and damped ports at the rear, delivering a consistent 90° horizontal directivity and approximately 18 dB broadband attenuation to the rear. This cardioid pattern minimises rear energy, reduces reflections, and enhances level consistency across the listening area, improving gain before feedback when using open microphones.
The d&b Audiotechnik 16C’s enclosure is built with an extruded aluminium back and metal baffle, with a metal grille protecting the front and sides. The rear includes continuous T-slot rails for mounting, a single NL4 input, and a 4-pole Phoenix combicon terminal connector. Available in black or white as standard, xC-Series loudspeakers can also be customised in any RAL colour with the Special Colour (SC) option.
