Primacoustic MaxTrap Bass Trap
Primacoustic MaxTrap – In critical listening environments like mixing rooms or recording studios, lack of control over low bass frequencies can cause significant problems, resulting in mixes that sound either too boomy or too thin.
The Primacoustic MaxTrap addresses this issue by offering 3-way absorption across the full frequency spectrum. It features front-mounted high-performance Broadway panels and a suspended diaphragm that spans the entire panel to absorb deep, low bass.
The result is an elegant sound absorption solution that effectively controls bass frequencies, ensuring your mixes are as accurate as possible.
The Primacoustic MaxTrap is a combination full-range absorber and diaphragmatic resonator designed to control all frequencies down to the deepest bass. It achieves this by combining a full-size high-density glass wool panel with a closed air space behind it, created by the wood frame, to absorb sound below 100Hz.
Lower frequencies pass through the front face, causing the internal diaphragm to resonate and naturally migrate to the frequencies where room resonance is most prominent, thus reducing powerful room modes. Made from easy-to-clean black melamine-coated wood composite, the MaxTrap ships flat to save on freight costs and assembles in about fifteen minutes with standard household tools.
Once assembled, it hangs easily in the corner using the supplied French cleats.
