Dynaudio Core Sub Subwoofer

The Dynaudio Core Sub is the perfect low-frequency extension for all speakers in the Core studio monitor range. And when we say ‘low,’ we mean it: it delivers a flat response down to 15Hz with a 6dB roll-off at 13.5Hz. It faithfully reproduces all meaningful low frequencies.

With a handcrafted cabinet made in our Danish factory, four of our latest low-frequency drive units, and 1000W of Pascal class-D amplification, this subwoofer is designed to complement the ground-breaking Core speakers.

The Dynaudio Core Sub uses the same DSP engine as the Core speakers, allowing you to customise its response based on its placement in the room. Its analogue and AES digital inputs enable it to work in any configuration, from single-channel extension to 2.1-channel bass management and theatrical LFE channels. Simply set your Core speakers to HP, and you’re good to go.

By having the Dynaudio Core Sub using the same electronic platform as the Core products, we ensure the Sub’s behaviour and tonality are identical to the monitors, providing a fully integrated system rather than a separate product just for bass.

Its design allows for physical integration too. You can stack multiple units or combine them with other Core products. With the VESA mount, you can even place it on the wall. The system is mix-and-match friendly: for example, add two Subs per side with a Dynaudio Core 47 in between, adjust the dB levels, and everything aligns both physically and sonically.

Each Sub delivers 120dB, perfectly integrating with the power of the Core series. It’s versatile, featuring digital and analogue inputs, stackable up to three units, and indentations on top for perfect alignment with any Core monitors.

The Dynaudio Core Sub boasts four 9-inch side-firing Dynaudio hybrid woofers – the MSP+ Hybrid Drive units – primarily made from aluminium for stiffness. To counteract ringing, it uses a dual-action damping system combining paper dampening on the back of the driver and Dynaudio’s Magnesium Silicate Polymer material in a damping cap on the front, ensuring top performance. This driver is an improved version of the one in the acclaimed 18s woofer, created with a simple quest: to make the best bass driver possible.
